Royals Have $22 Million To Spend

"The name atop their wish list, in all that time, has never changed. Only now, it appears, the Texas Rangers are finally willing to consider offers for Kevin Mench... The Royals, who have $22 million available for roster improvements, have also contacted several free-agent outfielders, with Brian Giles atop a list that includes Jacque Jones, Juan Encarnacion, Preston Wilson, Jeromy Burnitz and Reggie Sanders."
They have to get one of those names. Please let them have at least one.

It'd be cool if we could get Mench. I do know Sanders was in town this past week.

Sanders sounds interesting for this team. I think the GM just has to hold off from spending all 22 mil on one superstars. This team needs to plug a few more than one hole and they should spread it out a ways. Sanders may be affordable to that liking as well.

What makes them think they have 22 million to spend?

Sanders would help fill the outfield along with DeJesus and Brown and bring someone to hit behind Sweeney. Sanders is very affordable. Rogers will go there if it's a last resort.
