Royals The Great Greinke: complete game shutout in Arlington!

This guy shuts out the vaunted Rangers offense on 10 strikeouts, does it in the hitters park that is Arlington on top of that, and does it under 110 pitches. Greinke has yet to allow a single run in three starts this season and his scoreless innings streak (dating back to last season) is at 34 innings. He looks poised to take down Orel Hershiser.

Unfortunately, he doesn't get any love or recognition because he plays in KC. He's the anti-Chien Ming Wang.

First Royals pitcher to shut out the Rangers since Bud Black.

Greinke is absolutely awesome. This Royals team is dangerous. Looks like the Yankees winning the series against them looks much better.

Another filthy pitcher who looks like he could be my little brother.

Grienke looks like a pissed off 12 year old in his Sportsline.com picture.

If this guy was a Yankee or out east then he'd be the greatest thing ever. Then again, had he gotten all that attention he may have not gotten to where he is today. It's been a long and tough road for the kid but he's really showing why he was so highly thought of all these years. It's way early but their is already Cy Young winner comments coming about. As a Royal fan, it is so cool to finally see him flourish. It's actually great to see any of our supposed young studs to excel....hint to Alex Gordon and Billy Butler.

Pity those teams that chose Bryan Bullington, Chris Gruler, Adam Loewen, and Clint Everts instead.

Nice to see him make it as well as he has. He has great stuff and just needs to harness it.
    His appearance is quite deceiving.

If he keeps this up throughout the year, the Royals are winning the Central.

He gave up a run yesterday. The scoreless streak ended.

OK, I should have been more specific. Greinke has not given up an earned run all year!

Re: The Great Greinke: complete game shutout in Arlington!

Greinke has real potential to be one of the great stories in baseball years from now. His breakdowns and near collapse as a pitcher of any value to what he is now makes for one hell of a story. I know many fans of other teams, Reds fans included, were hoping that the Royals would eventually have it with him and ship him off at a discount. It would be great for their franchise, and fans, if Greinke continues to pitch at a high caliber and if they can keep him.
