    Hang on, what?

After two starts, Roy Oswalt's ERA was around 6. And that's expected to blow up even more, as I see he has given up 8 earned against the World Series Champs to be Florida Marlins (they're due for another wildcard party right!?). I believe that puts one of the top pitchers in the league at the very bottom of the pitching staff, or at least, the rotation in terms of production.

A Fish Called Wandy Rodriguez, and I can't make this up, tops of the staff with an ERA under 3 and averaging almost a strikeout per ining. And, ultimately the coolest, just one walk. Sure, he's no stud young guy like Johnny whatever, Cueto I guess, that guy who's kinda made a splash recently, yeah, well.. Wandy's numbers are close to Cueto's.

Hang on, not done, guess who has two quality starts for Houston?

Shawn flippin Chacon! Granted, he's walked about five dozen batters, but he's not gving up alot of runs. You all remember Chacon, the guy who managed to save 35 games for the rockies, despite a 7 plus ERA. And then the next season he's dealt to the yankees and posts a sub 3 ERA and the world spins off its axis and world peace happens.

Rounding out the cast is Brandon Backe, the man who can hit better than he pitches even if he's got a solid start to 2008 and Chris Sampson, who will strike out someone every other week.

He's had Brad Ausmus as his personal catcher, but they suddenly decided to force J.R. Towles behind the plate tonight and for the future. Not sure if that has anything with him getting lit up, but he's used to Ausmus behind the plate, so why switch? That's like if Varitek had to start catching Wakefield.

It would make sense if Oswalt threw a knuckle or a crazy Randy Johnson slider.

at this point ausmus cant catch much, so they need the kid catching. Besides, shouldnt oswalt be calling his own game by this point? i mean, he should have veto authority over pitches.

Still, the game against the cubs, he struck out none. whens the last time he did that? Against the cubs he just didnt look comfortable on the mound at any time.

He's had two good starts in a row, went 7 tonight against the fathers. Somehow, he did give up 3 runs.
