    Eaton to Texas

The Texas Rangers have helped address their pitching woes by reaching agreement to acquire San Diego Padres right-handed pitchers Adam Eaton and Akinori Otsuka and a minor league prospect in exchange for right-handed pitcher Chris Young, first baseman Adrian Gonzalez and outfielder Terrmel Sledge, ESPN.com's Jerry Crasnick has confirmed.
I think its a good deal for the Padres. Eaton is nothing special even while going 11-5 he had a 4.27 ERA but Chris Young and Adrian Gonzalez will be the real deal.

Eaton is worth it. He also had a few minor injury problems last year as well. Without no injuries he can give you 15-18 wins. Texas should make a run at Sanders. Get another 20 homerun guy. And they could be on the verge of signing Millwood. Can't beat his 2.84 era. Besides Clemens.

Good news if you are a fan of any other NL West fan. The Pads' rotation is in shambles after losing Lawrence and now Eaton. Now they have Woody Williams and Chan Ho Park backing up Peavy. Ouch! Plus they use another good reliever. They did get a first baseman but Klesko is most likely to play there. I personally wouldn't give up Young for Eaton but **** it. Rangers got a decent SP and a good reliever. Texas getting pitching is mind blowing.

I thought Texas was trying to help their staff? Young posted solid numbers considering he plays at a tee ball park. Eaton will get killed.
