    Cubs LHP Remlinger DFNYY

Cubs designated LHP Mike Remlinger for assignment.
Remlinger had a 4.91 ERA in 33 IP, but his WHIP was improved from when he posted a 3.65 ERA in 2003 and a 3.44 ERA last year. That he's not a lefty specialist always seemed to bother Dusty Baker, but he can still be a pretty useful reliever. There will be some demand for his services

I see the Braves going after him. He's Bobby's man.

He was never quite as stellar as he was with the Braves.

teams can have his sorry ass. I watched him blow up too many times whether it was against righties or lefties. Plus he is 40 years old, he has a bum shoulder and cant get a leftie out to save his life. good riddance to rubbish!

I remember he was wanting to go to the D-Backs.
