From what I've been reading, that's quite a haul for Oakland.Gio to Nats for Cole, Norris, Peacock, and Milone. Love this for Oakland.

Looks like the Nats topped Boston although I have no idea what Boston was offering. Does sound like a good haul but it's also a nice young pitcher for the Nats to add to Zimmerman and Strasburg. Could be good for both. Oakland may actually have acquired a good hitting prospect in Norris, for once.

I think he'll be better off in the NL for some reason.
Great trade for both teams but the A's got the better of it. I love what the Nationals did though. They went out and got a good #2 and one of the better lefties in the game when he's on. He just has to cut down on the walks. The Nationals now have a very solid starting rotation with Strasburg, Gonzalez, Zimmerman, Wang and Lannan. Nationals will give the Phillies and Braves a tough time this season. For the A's, anytime you can get three of a franchise's top ten prospects you are doing something good. Peacock and Cole have swing and miss stuff and Norris looks like a solid backstop which could lead to a Suzuki trade down the line. Looks like Billy Beane could add yet another impressive trade to his resume.
