The Rockies are just having one hell of a day!! First they give a deal to Tulo they didn't have to for years to come and now they give close to $11 million annually to a guy who has only pitched over 130 innings once in his career and he will be 30 next year. Oliver Perez, you just let off the hook.Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com reports that Jorge De La Rosa will receive $32-33 million over three years from the Rockies.
In other words, he'll get virtually the same deal Ted Lilly signed with the Dodgers. We suspect he won't be worth it in the end, but at least Rockies general manager Dan O'Dowd didn't cave and guarantee him a fourth year.
