    Padres Jerry Hairston signs with Friars

    He will be playing with his brother. I know he was a great guy for the Reds' clubhouse and is a very knowledgeable player. He would be a great broadcaster one day IMO.

    At times, Hairston really showed he could hit, this could be decent for the Pads fans. But nothing to get too excited about for sure. He will likely play all over the diamond for you.

    Ken Rosenthal says he will get more than $2 million.

    I guess it is official. 1 year for $2.125 million. He took his physical today.
