    MIAMI (AP)—Florida Marlins ace Josh Johnson(notes) agreed to a $39 million, four-year contract on Thursday, a person familiar with the negotiations said.

    The person spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because the Marlins hadn’t announced an agreement.
    Its about time the Marlins stepped up and signed their stars. How long before they trade him though is what im concerned with.

    This is what they were talking about when increasing their payroll obviously. I like it quite a bit, the guy can flat out get it done. Hopefully this becomes a trend for the fish.
