Lyon and Lindstrom should be the top canidates for saves in Houston this season, I would guess, maybe even competing in the spring for the job.
Not a bad deal, he's been proven to be a strong arm in setup, and the price isn't too overly expensive.
He's had one good year. Way to go, Ed Wade.
I wish the Dodgers could have wasted $15 million on a pitcher like Brandon Lyon instead of Carlos ****ing Perez.
I could maybe get this deal at two years, but three is just insane. Lyon, while posting a super low BAA, has not usually offered anything in the way of sexy top dollar earning stats. He is not prone to the mediocre/poor season and its not exactly as if he is a proven closer. Oh well, glad to know others in the NL Central are as good at wasting money as the Reds are.
