Cameron, 4 other Brewers file for free agency (AP)
The Mike Cameron era in center field for the Milwaukee Brewers ended Monday when the 15-year veteran filed for free agency. Cameron's spot will be taken by Carlos Gomez, who was acquired Friday from Minnesota for shortstop J.J. Hardy. Four other Brewers filed for free agency, including outfielders Frank Catalanotto and Corey Patterson, catcher Jason Kendall and second baseman Felipe Lopez.
I figured Cameron to leave and Catalanotto but not Kendall and Lopez....Hope we keep 1 of the 2.
I honestly wouldn't sweat losing Lopez. There is no doubt that he is a useful guy to have, but he'll probably be seeking a contract that he won't perform to. If the Brewers can bring him back on a deal that makes sense though, then go for it.

Glad to see the Twins grab some pop from the right side, they needed it. Gomez is a 4th OFer at this point in his career but could mature into something better. His speed will be liked in Milwaukee.
