Fine with me, we could use a super utility guy.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Apparently the Yankees sent Austin Jackson to Cincinnati for Hairston. If this is true I'm going to drive to NY and personally assassinate Brian Cashman.

I'm on a Trade Deadline chat on Yahoo Sports. The guy who posted it (Jonathan Mayo) says it may be inaccurate. Let's hope to god it is

There's no way they trade Austin Jackson for Jerry Hairston Jr.

Looking at early returns, looks like typical return on a player of JHJ's caliber... little to none.

He's not hit for much in the little over a year he's been in the minors. Only 20 years old, so maybe with time he could find something and be more than organizational filler.

Re: Hairston Jr. to the Yankees

    One scouting report:
Weems could be the Thomas Hickman of this year’s Georgia draft class.
Hickman remained tucked away in the hills of north Georgia last year
until his stock soared in the weeks before the draft and he was taken by
the Marlins in the second round. Weems’ Columbus High made a late surge
into the 3-A semifinals, and he was the Hornets’ catalyst. He has
athleticism and a sound swing from the left side, but his best tool is
his arm strength, which grades as a 65 on the 20-80 scale. His footwork
is fine behind the plate, but he has stiff hands and he’s not an adept
receiver, leading to questions about his ability to stay behind the
plate. He’s committed to Alabama, and it could take second-round money
    to get him signed.
