[Rumor: Francouer for Greinke] Does This Make Any Sense??

Nick Cafardo of the Boston Globe has heard that the Royals and Braves are in serious discussions about a trade that would swap Jeff Francoeur for Zack Greinke.
According to one source, the only thing holding back the deal is the Braves' impending deal with A.J. Burnett. Royals GM Dayton Moore worked with a young Francoeur while the two were in Atlanta. The Royals would cut payroll with the move, but the Braves would be the clear beneficiary if this rumor has substance.

This has to be the dumbest ******* thing I have ever heard!! First off, the Royals suck **** in the on-base department and Francoeur would only hurt that. Royals have already acquired Mike Jacobs who doesn't help the team's OBP either. Secondly, the Royals already have a crowded OF as it is. Lastly, Francoeur sucked absolute balls last season while Greinke had a damn good season and seems to be back on track. This seems beyond retarded!!

Jeff Francoeur is a good player. Nothing amazing, but he's solid. He had a terrible season last year, but he's still good, and has a RIDICULOUS cannon in the outfield. However, trading Zack Greinke would kill any chance the Royals have to come back from the dead next season.

Jose Guillen has a cannon too plus he's a better hitter. Just doesn't make sense to me.

If I was a GM of ANY of the other 28 teams and heard Greinke was that cheap, I'd be getting on my phone so fast it wouldn't even be funny. Francoeur could still be something, but just about everything from his offensive game last year screams bad news and run away.... fast.
