    a) What does Posada have to do with this? Good job, you were right about something completely unrelated.
    b) Joba would have, and he'll make a great starter too. Which would you rather have?
    c) Oh right, please tell me where I thought LaTroy Hawkins would work out. Maybe it was in this post?

    d) Boy, I'd really take David Riske and his 4.13 ERA over Veras, or Ramirez, or Bruney, or Robertson, or Marte, or Melancon, or Cox, now or in the future.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

He pitched 112.3 innings last year all told. He would have at the very least, 160 IP this season if he started in the rotation.

Most fans enjoy when their best players are healthy. When they're not healthy its bad. Pitching Joba 160 IP could lead to him being not healthy. That would be bad.

It's sad I have to reduce my reasoning to the elementary level to illustrate this point. I think this is my last post in this topic because there really aren't enough drugs in the world...

I just slapped myself for arguing with homers who can't be objective!!! Yes, the Yankees did a wonderful job not preparing Joba for the start of the year and since its working now, its no big deal! I'm sure once democracy is spread throughout Iraq we can all look back and say "That war was handled perfectly".

Yep because Tim Lincecum is really struggling this year

And browntown, half your previous post was off topic so i find it hilarious that you tried to call me out What a hypocrite!!

Guys, you can't honestly think that this situation was handled that well. They are sending a guy out for 4 innings to stretch him out in the major leagues while hurting the bullpen. At first I liked it but having him transition in the majors was just dumb in my opinion. It was basically just Dan Giese getting a start, which I don't mind at all. I think it would have been more natural for Joba to do it at the beginning of the season or in the minors.

It took him 3 games Brett. We went 2-1. This argument is ridiculous.

So do you guys think Pudge will be on the Yankees for more than just a rental for the rest of the season?

Since the Yankees keep signing old guys like my Giants used to, yes I think he comes back for another year. Posada is done catching. I think he would stay another year even if the Yanks didn't like the old vets.

No, they won't re-sign him, and he's a Type A Free agent. Pudge is a rental, which is fine because they weren't re-signing Farnsworth.

You comfortable with Molina behind the plate or trade/sign someone?

I think it helps both teams, Inge was splitting time w/ Pudge anyway so he takes over full time and they strengthen their pen. We'll miss Kyle but hopefully Rodriguez sips from the fountain of youth these last few months and helps us win the division.
