    strike a 1-year deal worth $700,000. He is going to back up Youkolis at 1B.

    I like this move, it allows the BoSox to have a legit backup 1B, and they can move Youkilis to 3B and start Casey at 1B whenever Lowell needs a day off.

    Casey should do good as a backup. He's definitely not an everyday 1B anymore.
