Sounds like a pussy to me. Now cue the Joe Girardi talks.Mariners manager Mike Hargrove resigned Sunday and was replaced by bench coach John McLaren.
Bizarre. After all of this time on the hot seat, Hargrove finally had some job security after the Mariners' strong first half. The 57-year-old Hargrove said he was stepping aside because his "passion has begun to fade" and it would not be "fair to myself or the team" to continue. Hargrove will manage today's game and then be replaced by McLaren on Monday.
shocking news. and you are right, do we hear Giardi getting a call?
This all doesn't make sense. Passion fading. Yeah right. More like he dislikes one of the players or coaches and doesn't want a public thing about it.
this is just weird. like really weird.

It'd be funny if the Mariners go on to win the World Series that has long eluded Hargrove.
That is so weird.
Hargrove sucks anyway.
Now they just need to force Bavasi into quitting.
McLaren has been announced as the interm manager.
I think he was clashing with someone in upper management. JMO.
I honestly can't tell you what the hell is up. I almost crashed my car when I found out on the way home from work. McLaren is a good short term manager for now. But only in Seattle would this odd stuff happen.

I am truly perplexed about this move. I could understand burnout if the team was struggling, but the M's are playing very well right now.
The whole thing just stinks.
Wish I could afford to quit my job cause I am truly BURNED OUT! Need to bring home the $$$ for the family though!!!
