Well, I certainly don't blame them for asking for James. Ever since they tore the mets a new one on the Kazmir deal, they've had the idea they can do it to anyone embedded in their brains.

That's why the Rays shouldn't settle for less than James. Baldelli is worth it IMO.

    Not if you're Atlanta.

The Devil Rays have a history of asking for your firstborn and two pitchers in trades.

News: Atlanta and the Braves have talked about a deal that would send prospects to Tampa Bay for Baldelli. The Braves are offering Jarrod Saltalamacchia and Yunel Escobar, while the Devil Rays are asking for Kyle Davies or Chuck James in the deal, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
Much rather give up Davies. Don't mind dealing Salt either, but eh.

Yeah, Davies seems to be a little on the inconsistent side. James seemed to be a pretty good pitcher last season.

James has more potential. I don't see Davies becoming much more than what he is now.

Rays won't do a trade for Davies nor should they. Rays will find a better deal for Baldelli or Crawford,

The organization that took forever to finally give up on Toby Hall and traded for JP Howell, anything is possible with them.
