    Jose Guillen a Mariner

One year deal to play right field. Base contract is five million, three million can be gainedby performance and so on, and then there's a 9 million option for 2008. Good deal, comes cheap and if he rebounds and is healthy, he'll end up as a bargain on this market.

I really like this deal compared to the Gary Matthews Jr deal.

man, I forgot you guys had Everett. with those 2, the Mariners may be looking to put up a fight this year. but is it with wins or knockouts in the locker room? haha.

Terrific signing for the Mariners as Guillen goes to a park that could result in a monster season for him (and a monster contract as a result.) I was really hoping the Reds would bring him.

I don't know, Mish, SAFECO is hardly a hitter's park.

Oh I know. I was just being a bit sarcastic since it favors left-handed hitters and pitchers, where GAB would of been ideal for him to come back to his former success if he's looking for the payday. It's still a good signing for the M's, I am just pissed off about it.

Don't worry, Mission. Luis Gonzalez can come to Cincy and then you're all good.

I don't know about him playing RF coming off Tommy John surgery. His arm will not be the same for a while so I would stick him in LF. Oh well, its a good pickup for the M's.

    Brewers

they dont need him in RF. They have this unknown guy by the name of Ichiro. Did we all forget this, or is he going to play CF for the M's this season?

They moved Ichiro to center for the last, I dunno, third of the season I'd say, and plan on keeping him there next year.

Ibanez was their LFer last year and was pretty great, so I'd imagine their OF coming into 06 will be Ibanez-Ichiro-Guillen. Don't remember who their third OF was last year.
