Ervin Santana Wallpaper

Yes, I realize the Angels play Anaheim. I was working with a picture of Los Angeles that I loved a little bit ago and planned to use with with the Dodgers. But then I saw this great picture of Ervin Santana in his terrific outing a couple days ago and I had to use it. And thanks to the Angels with their unneccesary name change, I felt justified in using it. So deal. :p

Anyway, it's a heavy graphic wall but I like the turn out quite a bit. Use it if you want.

Doesn't mean that it's correct to use it just that I had two great pics and I felt I could make a good wallpaper. As for the rest of the people who have posted, I appreaciate your comments.

OUtstanding. I love that what you did with that background image of LA. Now the next question.... how did you do that!?

Lynch: I'm pretty sure he cut out the uneeded background part of the picture, and then went to hue/saturation and made it blue. Might have used some brightness/contrast or color balance too but I'm not exactly sure.

Now to the wall: That blue just irks me, I don't think it fits in well considering everything else is a redish color. Maybe if you made the text blue? I like the rest though, good job.

Lynch: Basically I cut it out, used various brushes, added a few subtle lighting effects, used a few layer filters (can't remember which off the top of my head) and then changed the color through hue/saturation.

Pac: Good suggestion. Lately I'm trying to do different work with what colors I use and some of it hits and others not. I'll try to throw together a couple other versions this weekend. Thanks for the suggestion.
