    Baseball Slant Fantasy League Debacle

With todays news of ManRam being suspended for 50 games, I would like to share with you one of my fantasy league teams that I am in with a bunch of my buddies. I believe I have set a world record for inactivity from the team:

    C: Brian McCann (DL)
    1b: Carlos Guillen (DL)
    2b: Brandon Phillips (SLUGGISH START)
    SS: Stephen Drew (DL)
    3b: Alex Rodriguez (DL)
2b/SS: Aaron Hill (Yay, a bright spot)
    1b/3b: Alex Gordon (DL)
    OF: Manny Ramirez (Suspended)
OF: BJ Upton (on DL to start season, sluggish start)
    OF: Rick Ankiel (DL)
OF: Adam Jones (yay, the 2nd bright spot)
UTIL: David Ortiz (should be on DL)
    DH: Travis Hafner (DL)
Bench: Alexei Ramirez (sluggish start, just got benched)

    SP: Chris Carpenter (DL)
    SP: Carlos Zambrano (DL)
    SP: Hiroki Kuroda (DL)
    SP: Chien Ming Wang (DL)
SP: Randy Johnson (I'm sure he'll end up on the DL)
    RP: Brandon Morrow (DL)
    RP: Jose Valverde (DL)
    RP: BJ Ryan (DL)
    RP: George Sherrill (Not Good)
RP: Heath Bell (YAY, bright spot #3)
Bench: John Maine ( do I really want to start him)

Normally, I would look at this team and think that I had a pretty good team. Granted they would have been better if I was making moves as the DL happened to each of them, but seriously what were the chances of all these guys being on the DL at the same time.

You know. I really have nothing to say here. Is this even possible? Can you even field a roster?

Not really, I mean there is only 1 DL spot on the team, so I am really only left with releasing guys (that a lot of people will pick up just to wait for them to come off the DL). Some of my guys on the DL are un-releaseable. This sure is a jam I am in.

You know, guys like Wang and Ryan being on the DL is actually beneficial to you. McCann, ARod, Morrow will be back soon and you should just cut Maine and Ortiz for something else. Actually, cut Wang, Ryan, and maybe even Kuroda. Even in a deep team league, there's bound to be something more productive.

I'm right there with you, I just hadn't been paying attention lately and decided to take a look at the team simply because I knew ManRam was on my team. Then, I was like Holy Hell.....this is the pits. I'll see if I can turn crap into a 4 course meal.

Wow, that's.. that's an epic wow. I thought it was bad that I have 4 guys on DL plus a DTD'er, but you set a new standard.
