in more relevant on the field news, ej manuel was benched today. for kyle orton of all people, because thatll fix things. manuel has the 2nd worst qbr in the league. the worst was chad henne, hes been benched. the 4th worst was matt cassel, he got hurt, but he wouldve been benched.

the 3rd worst is geno smith.

even derek carr is better than a couple guys [that list features alex smith, tannehill, mccown and lake jocker... but at least theyre humans, sort of]

47.1, inexplicably. derek carr is at 47.9. so theyre both still worse than a league average starter... but yea.

ironically, brady and russell wilson at the moment, are both slightly above league average. im sure thatll change tonight when brady carves up the chiefs, but yea.

henne was a 16, manuel was 19... essentially, joe namath wouldve provided more value at this point than either of them. geno is a 27.6, cassel was a 28.9... so we're talking about maybe, right out of cancer surgery jim kelly would be an upgrade. then locker to carr, and everyone in between are all pretty much just bums.

im usually not big on stats like this. for the most part its passing the eye test, its got one guy in the top 10 that makes me shake my head, but hes also coming off two pretty solid efforts himself.

peyton, rivers, rodgers, romo, luck, eli, ryan, stafford, flacco, brees are the top 10. eli being the glaring question mark... even flacco ill give a pass, hes had a couple lucky bounces go his way, but baltimores winning.

then again... it has dalton, fitzpatrick, cousins and austin davis as above average qbs. thats not even counting hoyer and stanton being 11th and 12th.
