Higginson likely done as a Tiger

    Link

There was a time following his elbow surgery in late May that outfielder Bobby Higginson thought he would play again for the Tigers at some point this season.

But he now sounds like he knows it's not going to happen.

"It's just not ready," Higginson said Monday when asked about his elbow.

Higginson has been working out in Lakeland, Fla., for the past month in anticipation of a comeback.

"I'd go two or three days when I'd throw and it would be OK," Higginson said. "Then I'd wake up one morning and it would be swollen."
All I can say is w00t. Get this nightmare out of here. One less Randy Smith mistake on the Tigers. I'm sure he'll get picked up by another team, but they'll soon find out how much he truly sucks. I'm glad Tigers are finally able to rid this cancer from the team.

He's been done for the last 3 years.

True, but every year we hear the same thing. "Maybe this is the year Higginson comesback" and every year it isn't. So it's just finally time to move on and get rid of this waste of space.

Royals should take a chance on him.
