Pedro Alavrez-The Pirates Vote For Pedro and I really think they will have a good one for years to come.

Yep Alvarez is likley the best bat in the draft. Good to see them actually picking Boras clients for once.

From the video that they showed, Hosmer looks like he has a good quick bat. Does this mean they don't think Billy Butler is their future at 1B?

Gammons says that 5 years from now, Hosmer will have the most power from anyone in this draft.

Probably not since they moved him to DH and then moved him to AAA.

Baltimore took Brian Matusz from San Diego. Steve Phillips says: electric pitcher with 4+ pitches (wow), good poise on the mound, safest bet to be an All-Star, little downside, great changeup.

    Re: Draft play-by-play

Giants take Buster Posey from FSU. Scouting report: 6'1, 205, strong arm, good bat speed, hasn't been catching a whole lot because he just converted to the position. But Phillips says he's one of the 5 best arms and bats.

They interviewed him on the phone after getting picked and he sounds like a stoner. Should fit in well with reefer.

Freakin wife and her blow dryer! Turned off me breaker to my TV and computer. I have been missing the last few picks but I am just in time for the Reds.

I am 100% with the Marlins picking Skipworth, right?

Reds are on the clock! Beckham or Alonso?

Marlins take Kyle Skipworth 6'3, 195 catcher from California high school.
Once had 18 consecutive hits. Great bat, good arm, will move quickly through the system, good balance point in the batter's box, power to all fields.

The Reds shocked me with Mesoraco last year, but this is a different regime. I have been good on my predictions so far. Leave it to me to screw up the Reds though.
