    Indians Injured Injuns

Grady Sizemore went to the DL today with a bruised left elbow. This is his first career DL stint. Thursday's game was the first game he missed with the injury, and it's only the 8th game he's missed since August 26th, 2005. This elbow injury has been a problem for him all season, as he's been in the field just 3 games this year. He's DH'd the rest. He's hit just .233 this year with 9 homers.

Victor Martinez took a foul ball off his left knee while batting yesterday. It went right off his knee cap and he crumpled in pain. He stayed in the game, but on the next pitch, he made contact and hobbled out of the batters' box after making contact, and barely made it a third of the way to 1st, and then left the game.

Rafael Betancourt left today's game after making a pitch and injuring his leg. It didn't look too bad but he came out of the game anyways. It was the first batter he faced in the game. No word on the extent of the injury yet.

Add Asdrubal Cabrera to that as he has been placed on the DL with a left AC joint sprain and could miss up to four weeks. This injury won't require surgery but he is still expected to miss up to a month of playing time. Josh Barfield was recalled from Triple-A Columbus to replace Cabrera on the roster.
