Thread: Dunn, Kearns, Randa, untouchable?

    Dunn, Kearns, Randa, untouchable?

I was listening to ESPN, and Gammons was talking about the Reds. He bascially said their price for Dunn and Kearns was so high that no sane team would be willing to match it, and their price to trade Randa is what they should be asking for Kearns. It's starting to seem unlikely DanO is going to move any of them, perhaps fearing being beat.

I have heard much different things.

Of course I haven't been listening to Gammons. I don't trust a word that guy says.

I can't see O'Brien asking too much for Dunn. It would take a lot to do that, unless the GMs don't respect the Reds as a real MLB team.

I hope he does not hold on to Randa for too long. But it may be a good thing that people are seeing that Dunn and Kearns are too hard to get. I wouldn't mind keeping Kearns around for another year as long as we get to keep Pena as well. That means Casey should be our guy to go. Is he being touted as untouchable as well? Gammons did not say anything about him, so we may have our guy.

I'm thinking that Pena might end up being the most likely outfielder to go if one ends up going.

God I hope not. He would be the one I keep the most. I really think he has a career in front of him that could be very marketable for the FO. He will be bringing fans to the ballpark for years. Not only that, but the rawness in him is turning over to greatness before our eyes. He has the ability to be a 5-tool guy.

Dunn's the one I would like to keep the most(discounting a GREAT offer).

Claussen Ks Perez and leaves 2 in scoring position after the back to back HRs. Not a good inning at all. But if he can get past this inning and only have this inning hurt him, he may still have a good game. We need him next inning!

Dunn would be a good choice, and I really want to keep him as well. But for no reason that I can explain, I just want to keep Pena. I really do not want to lose him before we see what he can really do.

I have not heard one single rumor involving Pena.

Trading Pena period doesn't make any sense whatsoever.

Ahh, but just because you haven't heard it doesn't mean stuff isn't going on and being discussed.

I think the one to go will be Kearns. For the obvious dislike he and O'Brien have for eachother and because they have a great replacement with Pena. Thing is, it would also suck to lose Kearns because we will get nothing for him. Which brings us back to having to trade Casey.

I'm actually getting the impression more and more that Kearns isn't going anywhere... for a variety of reasons.
