That game was pathetic.

I enjoyed being at the ballpark, but it was UGLY. The defense was terrible and our offense got shutout AGAIN.

We continue to slip further and further behind the Cards.

A couple of interesting comments in the crowd tonight. When Dunn dropped that fly, there were a few scattered booooos, although not too many. Quite a good number were shaking their heads though. It was a nice crowd tonight, btw(again).

Also, when Mercker gave up the 3-run HR to make it 7-0 D-Backs(that's when we left), many left and others who stayed were saying as we walked down the aisle to leave things such as "When does football season start?" and "Who-Dey!"

MVP: Harang (He didn't have his best stuff tonight, but was hurt by the defense more than anything else. He still kept us in the game pretty well).

Harang has had a few rough losses, or games that should go down in the book as an L (not that I care over that stat, but a lot will judge him based on that.) And is it just me or do west coast teams often seem to deflate any kind of good streak or whatever, over a few of the past several seasons?

Yeah, it does seem West Coast teams do that to us. It happened against the A's last year. We always have a tough time against those teams, particularly on the West Coast. I know the trip is a long one, but come on.

They just seem to have our number.

it almost worked as well I was wearing my Kurt Angle "YOU SUCK" shirt with My reds Jearsy over it and my reds cap and whenever one of the cardinals came close to me i would yell out to him from this angle YOU SUCK :| no help tho

Bottom of the 9th the padres were down by one point 4-3, 2 Outs a man 2nd Giles on 3rd with There catcher at the plate, the Cardinals picture thru the ball it almost looked like it was going to go wild so Giles left his base but noticed a tad late and got back just intime to get tagged out :|

Well, it appears that the offense has stalled once again. They haven't scored a run in 21 straight innings. Let's hope that Arroyo doesn't get a loss today due to a lack of run support.
