So we lost a tough one last night. Cueto was agin lights out and our offense simply could not help him out. So, in retrospect, Dusty Baker has decided that something had to change. What is the change? Well. EdE is not getting the start. He has struggled to say the least at the plate so far this season. Perhaps a little taste of pine will do him in.

I like the look of this lineup as well. Having Keppinger protect Dunn is just setting Dunn up for a big night. I would switch Freel and Patterson in this batting order though. Patterson is a great bunter and Freel is more of a leadoff guy (although not exceptional himself) than Patterson.

We need to see a win tonight to keep this team's heads up in hopes for bigger things to come on this road trip. The key tonight is the offense that has been less than stellar all season. And for Josh Fogg to have better command of his pitches this time around.

    Lets get this one started!

I think Fogg may be on a thin line already with Bailey pitching so well in Louisville and Belisle about ready to go as well. He better hope he has a good performance tonight.

Anyone worried about EdE's start? To be honest, I am a bit worried because I don't think the Reds will have a lot of patienece with him. As soon as Gonzo can come back, we have to be ready to see Keppinger take over at 3B.

Dusty says this is a "mental break" for EdE tonight. He better figure it out soon.

Looks like there should be more runs put on the board by both teams tonight. Pitching matchup looks quite different than Cueto vs. Suppan.

Much different, but Davis has had some success against the Reds. But both pitchers struggled big time their first time out this year.

I am hoping for an offensive game myself.

Yeah, Yost didnt pull the trigger fast enough on Bush again in his last start.

I will be in and out tonight as far as posting goes. I will be watching the game all the way through, but my hands may not be available all night to type because I will be doing PT and feeding the baby during some of it.

You have to hate that. Baker has been surprisingly good with that so far this year.

Yost doesnt have a sense of that in my opinion, or does he seem to get the bullpen warming at the right times either. That is why I think Gagne blew his first save on opening day. He gets outmanaged quite a bit (especially by LaRussa and Cox).

Everyone gets outmanaged by those two though. I like Yost a bit

I use to like him. But I have changed my attitude towards him the past couple of years.

Apparently I had Bush and Doug Davis mixed up for some reason. Bush hasn't had a good career against the Reds. The Reds hit him out of the first inning his last time facing them.

Griffey goes down swinging after having a 3-0 count to start the AB. UGH!
