What do Bob Feller, Al Kaline, Mel Ott, and Carl Scheib all have in common?

Well, I know it is true for the 1st 3, but I have honestly never heard of Carl Scheib (I feel like such a putz). But, I am going to go with.....they all played for 1 team in their career

That is true for that trio of Kaline, Ott and Feller but all 4 players share something in common.

I must of stumped you guys. Bob Feller, Al Kaline, Mel Ott, and Carl Scheib all went directly from High School to the pro's without any semipro/college experience.

Next question: Who has the most consecutive hits to begin a career?

Thanks for informing me. I have picked up a lot of interesting facts over the years in my internet bookmark section so I figured this thread would have more life if I asked some additional questions. But that's cool, the people have spoken.

What teams were apart of the first televised game and what year did it air? (You already know one of the teams obviously.)

Mission, I don't have a problem with non-Reds questions, but if others don't want them, then I guess we better not ask them.

Anyway, I will try to think about this question here.
The Simpson family gathers around, as Homer places Bart's passed test on the fridge.)

Homer: We're proud of you, boy.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Actually the first televised baseball game ever was on 5/17/1939 Princeton vs Columbia at Baker field. Priceton won 2-1.
