Reds Astros at Reds 4/18/2007 (EdE sits again!)

    Freel, 3B
    Hamilton, CF
    Dunn, LF
    Griffey, RF
    Phillips, 2B
    Hatteberg, 1B
    Gonzalez, SS
    Ross, C
    Harang, P

It is official, Narron hates EdE. Phillips walks to 1B on his triple off the CF wall last night. No sitting. His excuse?

"I told him I was thankful he made it to third base, because I would have hated for him to not been in there in the ninth inning," Narron said. "I thought it was out. The only thing I can tell you is, as long as guys get the bases they're supposed to get, that's all I ask for."
Griffey stops at 3B which was smart, but only after he was jogging from 1st to 2nd on the gapper hit by Phillips. For that, Phillips gets in a pickle and Griffey is left looking stupid on 3B.

Freel and Hamilton definitely looked good at the top of the order last night. No doubt, it is smart to start them. But why not sit Phillips or Griffey tonight and get EdE back in there? I know Phillips is finally coming out of his slump, but you have to give EdE the chance. If I were EdE, I would be talking about an unfair management position that Narron is taking.

I am sick on this one. I truly hope EdE will not get too pissed and just play stupid out of anger once/if he starts again.

The game is about to start, I am just not as excited as I should be about this one so pardon my harsh nature if I begin to get upset easily. Narron just has me upset for the moment.

I can see the argument to start Griffey and Phillips. But just do not understand sitting EdE two night in a row. Share the dishonor Narron. Obviously someone has to sit, but two games in a row seems to make people think he is liking someone's ability more than another.

No doubt, EdE's bat has been atrocious, but he is going to have to get out of it somehow.

Whatever, lets get this game started so I can get over it. I hope to see Harang and Hamilton have big games.

Grande is back on TV tonight; no doubt on the smiling side of the TV.

Biggio flies out to RF. 1 out.

Whats up CRF? You like this lineup without EdE for the second straight night?

Well, I do want Hamilton in the lineup right now.

But sitting Edwin two days in a row makes no sense.

I would have let Griffey sit tonight. Of course now he'll probably hit his first HR of the year.

I really hope Harang can continue in this mold tonight. He needs a good clean game.

Yeah, I'm sure Krivsky cried as Moeller packed his bags.

Reds going after first pitches right now. Welsh mentioned that they will have to be patient against Sampson.
