Phillips grounds out to 3B. Hit hard, but in range for Batista.

Yeah, I am with you there. I really am looking forward to seeing what Phillips can do this year. I am also excited about him and Gonzo up the middle.

Freel steals 3B! I love it when a player can do that. Freel is awesome!

    EdE grounds out to SS.

Yeah that DP combo is going to be sick. Both have great gloves, quick hands, good range, and pure athleticism. I am very excited to see them turn it this year.

Yeah, Freel has come out hard the first game of spring. What do you think his role will be this year? Split with Denorfia or will he be more full time OF? I am also looking forward to Brantley in the booth later.

    Paul Wilson in to pitch.

I am rooting for this guy, but I just don't see any room for him whatsoever. Unless he is nasty, he could take the 5th spot in the rotation I guess.

I think he will play a lot of RF and occassional 2B. I think Deno will get traded to make room for Hamilton . They just called Hamilton the best outfielder in spring. Then Thom corrected and said it is Dickerson, but Hamilton is a close second.

two fly outs so far for Wilson.

Yeah, I think its going to be hard for Wilson to make the team. I think the possiblity of Homer and the fact a guy like Saarloos can be a starter or in the pen really hurts Wilson IMO.

Another thing mentioned about Hamilton is that he has a "VERY STRONG ARM" That is very interesting. I am intrigued by outfield arms with plus power. Kearns and Guillen were awesome to watch. Hopefully Hamilton has that kind of caliber.

Gorzelanny in to pitch for the Bucs:

Dunn takes a full count and then walks. Dunn has done 2/3 of what healways does. Next up, the K? We'll see...

    Great start though!

Narron: it is a waste of time to see what he will bring.

I think Hamilton will make the team even if he doesnt hit well this spring. I think its somewhat like Phillips last season. Hamilton has a strong arm and can play late inning defense for this team. If he gives any offense, I would think Krivsky would just see that as a plus.

Yep I fully agree here. Saarloos pretty much has thejob IMO as well. Unless someone shows him up.
