    Matt Holliday rumor

Browsing around today, I found some people speculating a bit on this topic. Some blogger brought this up and may know some assistant GM. I doubt this with all I have in me, but it is a rumor and it has to be shared.

How would you guys think about this? Read the comments on this link for clarification:

    Quick summary:

Holliday for Freel, Votto, and Belisle.

Yes, our lineup would be fixed, I wouldn't mind trading Freel and Belisle as Deno and Claussen are viable replacements. But Votto? I am not feeling good about that.

Depends on what the scouts say. Dont the Rockies already ahve 1 "for the future 1b" that Helton was in the way of?

"Oh, don't mind me, I'm rebuilding now" then you win at least 80 games

Trading their only All Star makes no sense. They are trying to trade Jennings though.

Yes they do, or they did at least. Ryan Shealy. I am not sure if he is with them still though. For some reason, I am thinking he got traded to the Royals? Let me look it up...

Yep, he is a Royal now...

So Votto makes sense for the Rockies. I just don't see them trading Holliday though. The media is all over this guy in Colorado. He is the secondary face of baseball in Colorado behind Helton.

Shealy did get traded but that's because they have a younger and they think better option at first. Joseph Koshansky is his name. He hit 31 homers and 109 RBI in AA ball.
