On the contrary, Bronson has not pitched well in some big games this year. Suppan has been rather stellar for quite some time now and is after the All-Star Break often.

The methodology he is a part of his quickly rising into the double-digits over .500, which is anything but surprising.

Dunn GIDP to 2B. 2 outs.

Bart: Thanks, Dad. But part of this D-minus belongs to God.

Alou flies out to SS. 2 outs.
Harang has been abused many times this season, his gas tank is only filling up so much at this point in the season. Carpenter is a stud, but Suppan? Come on. Good start and he's made some good ones as of late (with some terrible ones too), but Suppan's value is not even close and it's not like he's stringed together 6 or 7 great starts to deserve the clutch title. Not to mention comparing their overall value over the course of the season. I agree on Carpenter though.

Aurilia has just been onfire lately, I am starting to see all the vet hoohah Narron talked about at least with him, even though I think that's just the lingo Narron uses with any 30+ player.

    Edwin grounds out to SS.

3-0 Reds after 7. 3 ER in 7 IP for Morris despite a poor WHIP. He got it done against the non-clutch offense.

Maybe you are right CRF, but I am loving Arroyo's performance tonight.

Something is causing the Cards to rise to a well-above average team and the Reds to fall to a below average team. It seems their starting rotation has been a big part of the reason. Something about the Carpenter, Suppan, Marquis, Weaver and Reyes group seems to be getting it done more often than not lately.

Suppan has a 2.54 ERA coming into tonight(pitching well) since the All-Star Break.

    Just sayin'.

I hope Narron doesn't send out Arroyo to go over 112 pitches.

Great outing for him tonight though. About time to see him with one this good.

3.91 is getting it done too, and well within the QS range. Not to mention Harang has had two more additional starts. I am not denying that Suppan has been MUCH improved since the break and better than Harang since the break (I was just mentioning that in the "stretch", he has had some poor starts as of late which effects the clutch title unlike Carpenter who has been great in nearly every one of his latest starts.)

Yeah I agree CRF, I would shut it down for him now seeing his has not had sufficient rest. But what a shock he gave us tonight!
