I don't think saying we desperately need this game is an understatement, epsecially since the Padres are about to win again, as are the Phillies. We need to go into the series with the Pads 1/2 game down, since we play them three in San Diego and then at home also.

Phillips apparently has food poisoning and is only available to PH, so there has been an adjustment to the lineup. See above.

The bottom of our lineup looks incredible, doesn't it?

Of course the one time I'd like to see Valentin start(he has crushed Maddux) he doesn't.

Jerry manages the game the right way though, so we're in good hands.

Why move Freel to 2B and Deno to RF when you have good old Clayton. (Of course by me saying that I am hoping he'll go 5-5 to prove me wrong.)

Come on mission, that would make too much sense. And Denorfia and Freel are both a little too young to play the game the right way. Only Clayton is capable of doing that. Didn't you get the memo?

BTW, the last time Maddux faced the Reds I was there for that no-hitter attempt that got stopped because of the storms we had that night.

Maddux and his Delorean, travelling only back in time to see his arm of 10 years ago whenever he happens to face the Reds. I smell a new movie franchise.

I really don't even know if I have the effort to attempt to watch this one. These past five have been soul crushing as we easily could of been 3-2 versus 0-5 (I would of been ok with even 2-5.)

    Give it a try.

If it gets bad, just turn it off. I might have to tonight too.

Aurilia grounds out to 3B. It bounced off Maddux, was bobbled as it hit the 3B's glove and he then picked it up and threw Aurilia out by a half step.

    Reds 0, Dodgers coming up.

    We didn't score. Stunning.

Maybe the LA smog is what Maddux needed to become his old self once again.

Furcal singles to LF on the first pitch. Dunn bobbles the ball in LF. Furcal goes to 2B. Error on Dunn. 0 outs.

Harang hittable again right out of the chute.

True, but Furcal has never really been shy of our arms.
