I can't blame this one on the team. I think Michalak gave it a good 5 innings. But just reading your PBP, I knew that he was struggling in the 5th. I have a bad feeling about what this loss will do to us, other than taking us to 5 over .500 after being in good position to be 7 over .500. We could also very well be only 1 game ahead of the hot Padres in the Wild Card. I just don't know if this team will survive until the end of the season.

It's going to be a dogfight to the end, especially with how average the NL has been and all the playoff hopefuls that are left. It is a shame though that we weren't able to pull off another win to draw closer to 10 games over .500 (so we begin to look respectable at least.)

I'm not to sure about the whole HUGE loss thing. I mean yea I know that a defeat is a defeat but we do still have a 2 game lead in the WC and only 1 game back of the Cards still with them loosing tonight. We still have taken the last 2 series heading into a HUGE road trip.
