    Cubs Pinella to Manage Cubs

The Cubs have scheduled a press conference on Tuesday to name Lou Piniella their new manager. The agreement with the 63-year-old Piniella, who last managed in 2005 for the Devil Rays, is believed to be for three years with an option for a fourth.

I love em too. He's the only M's manager I ever liked before he left the M's.

Reportedly, he wants the Cubs to trade for A-Rod.

Who will the Cubs trade for ARod? The Yankees would need a 3B if they trade him, so Ramirez makes sense, but the Cubs will need to sweeten the deal a bit to get it done. Maybe Ramirez and Pie for ARod, with the Cubs taking all of ARod's salary?

Cant Ramirez just opt out of his deal and then negotiate with whoever he wants?

Great Choice by the Flubs. I wish the Reds had canned Narron for him at the end of the year and we had Lou to light some fires under certain peoples arses.

    Great deal for the Cubbies!

First line of business will be to get A-Rod for sure. But if they do get him, I see him coming in as a SS. Keep Ramirez and possibly trade Kerry Wood?

Anyhow, nice move for the Cubbies.
