Red Sox Bottom 9th, 3-1 s0x, coming in to close...

Well, who's it gonna be? According to Rotoworld.com, it could be...David Wells himself!

David Wells said yesterday that he could become Boston's closer if the team needed him to.
''I've done it before and I could do it again, but it just would take me longer to get ready,'' Wells said. ''I'd have to know exactly when I was going to pitch. I suppose I could do it. Nobody's asked me about it.''

It could be anyone at this point. Timlin makes sense, but that leaves a crew of unreliable "set-up men" to get from the starter to the closer. The Sox are sending Schill to the pen to start off, so he could set-up or close if needed, and when he's healthy, I bet Arroyo goes there.

Doesnt Tim's have a over 100 saves? He might do the job well. ANy news on whats wrong with Foulke's knee and how long he might be out? I just got back from vacation and was out of the loop for a while.

The rumor I'm hearing is 4-6 weeks for Foulke, but no confirmation. It's a long-term knee injury and it's starting to get in the way now.

This might turn out to be a blessing in disguise for the s0x. Foulke wasn't exactly mowing them down when he went down.

You guys think theres any truth to the rumor that the SOx are looking at dealing for Billy Wagner. He would be a pretty good guy to have, I think anyway.

I've heard that rumor too, the thing I also heard it would cost the Sox Arroyo and Youk, which is a deal I do not want done.

did any of your hear what Damon said about Schilling wanting to close? He basically was like hell no, the team wants Timlin, and if not Timlin, then Arroyo...Curt's never done it and he can't do it. He takes 60 pitches to warm up and he needs 60 pitches.

I think Curt could be amazing at closing. If he can focus that stuff for an inning or two, damn!
