Red Sox Sox making headlines again, agree with Saito

FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Sources: Red Sox sign free-agent Saito

Wow, another great signing, I like the club option too, if he pitches well for 2 years, picks could enter the equation but another cheap incentive based deal. The Sox arguably have the best pen in the majors and best pitching (NYY would def. have to be in the debate)

I find it ironic that he's going to make more money this year coming off an elbow problem than he did the two years combined in which he was healthy.

I think this is an excellent signing for the Red Sox. Saito makes me incredibly scared when he's on the mound

NYY definitely doesn't have the best pen. Red Sox are extremely deep in pitching and have made smart, low risk decisions.

I meant best overall staff reefer, sox definitely have a pen advantage but overall it might be close still.

Another great signing for the BoSox. I've always been a fan of the low-risk, high-reward deals.
"They asked me if I wanted the ball in Game 6, and I said yes. I'll always say yes. That's what I did with Jack McKeon. I told him, 'Let me see how I feel tomorrow.' I went out, did a long toss, came in and said, 'I'll pitch, I want it, I want to do it.' And it ended up working out." -Josh Beckett

The Rays, Red Sox and Yankees have very solid staffs. It will be fun to watch these three battle it out again.

This move makes the Red Sox much better, providing Saito can stay healthy with them. I am impressed at the agressive moves this team has made this off-season.
