FOX Sports on MSN - MLB - Red Sox acquire reliever Hull from Dodgers

While this deal is probably of minimal significance at best, this guy Hull actually looks pretty good. His career minor league numbers are 24-25 with a 3.38 ERA. He has started about 53 games, and relieved in about 150. He seems both versatile, and as if he might actually be able to turn into a competent major league reliever. I like the deal from a Red Sox standpoint, especially since Lara is a minor leaguer with a career average of .253, 12 HR in 4 seasons, and figures to be a decent fielding shortstop at his best. Again, while the trade is of little significance now, I like it.

Hull will probably end up being a 7th inning uber reliever for the Red Sox. It's news if the Dodgers don't get f*cked over on a deal.
