    Eric Gagne

I know that Eric Gagne is a superb pitcher. That can't be disputed.

...but watching him blow Red Sox leads fills me with all kinds of glee.

    George is secretly paying him.

I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Knowing that Julio Lugo has been useless with the bat fills me with glee.

Knowing that the Red Sox lost out on Porcello in the draft when they signed Lugo fills me with glee.

    Re: Eric Gagne

I'll tell you right now. Eric Gagne will NEVER have the dominance he had when he set the consecutive saves record. And I know it has never been proven, but in my honest opinion, much of his dominance was in part to his fastball being 98, and that was because of steroids in my opinion. You don't go from throwing 88 as a starter to 98 suddenly as a closer. Then suddenly have arm problems. It's not physically possible to increase 10 mph on your fastball at his age without a 3rd party influence. You can argue all you like, and hey, it's your opinion and I respect that, but as someone that has studied, played, and talked to people in the game and has the contacts, it's not possible im sorry. He went from 88 to 98 then had arm problems. It's plain as day. Still has a nasty change though.
