Wiggins has higher upside than Mirotic. A Cavs first rounder probably has more of a shot to be a contributor to the next T'Wolves playoff team than 29/30 year old Taj Gibson, and McBuckets is a better piece than Anthony Bennett, but not enough to make up the gap in the first two areas. Bulls would probably have to add in Jimmy Butler to have a shot to make their deal better than Cleveland's.

Sounding like Jameer Nelson is going to the Mavs. Dallas has quietly made their team better. Jameer, Chandler, Parsons.

If they feel strongly enough that they can make the playoffs, I think the original rumor of Gibson, Butler, and sauce makes sense. But they lack a coach that can take advantage of two good defensive players and the backcourt of Rubio and Butler, while exciting, is also one of the worst shooting backcourts ever. I just don't think they should think they can contend. If Wiggins is ever truly offered, Minnesota needs to jump that like one of us trying to jump Kate Upton

Personally at this point I'd rather they just move on. This is the most complete roster the Bulls have had in some time.

the most important thing uttered here. i love what gibson does. i havent seen mirotic, but everything sounds like hes cant miss. mcdermott... well, we know he'll be able to shoot the ball. if cleveland ever really offered the rumored deal... wiggins, bennett, a 1st and non-guaranteed contracts [they acquired 3 more today, perhaps to allow them to take on kevin martins contract along with love], minnesota has to jump at it. gibson, mcbuckets and mirotic is a nice fall back option if cleveland never budges on wiggins.

all that being said, and the way we both phrased the statement... im questioning whether wiggins ever truly was offered.

I saw on the twitter, that it was bennett and picks. Which, then, is no where near what Chicago maybe offers

If GSW ever relents on Thompson, I think it's all pretty much over given their hard on for him

My biggest problem with the Chicago package is that Mirotic is a risk and Gibson will be somewhat diminished before they are contenders. Gibson's a nice player, but he's had some injuries and is already 29. If Cleveland's only offering Bennett and some picks, the CHI package is better, but it's not what I'm sure they'd like to get for Love.

Better than getting nothing for Love. Gibson can be flipped. He's an asset regardless.

Mavs continue a nice offseason. Al Aminu is a steal and replaces the defense and rebounding lost in Marion. Nice add. Plus the Shard deal was voided after his knees didn't pass examination. And the Nelson deal was clearly made so that Ray Felton wasn't the only crappy PG on the bench. Carlisle must be in heaven with all of the defensive options this season. I like what they've done.

I like Al Aminu's energy that he brings on the defensive side of the ball. He can also throw a double double in every now and then. I love that pickup for the Mavs.

I wish every NBA team had its own D-League team. I'd be all for a true minor league system, that'd be cool. Then, Hammer and I could get our starts as GMs of a D-League team and eventually convince a senile billionaire owner to hire us as the NBA team GM.
