    Braves Kyle Farnsworth, Closer?

    Maybe, according to Rotoworld.com

Atlanta manager Bobby Cox is reportedly considering switching to a ''bullpen-by-committee'' approach after closer Chris Reitsma blew his seventh save of the season Wednesday. The Braves traded for Milwaukee closer Danny Kolb this offseason in the hopes that he could take over for John Smoltz in the ninth inning, but that move was a disaster from the very beginning.

With Kolb struggling, the Braves then turned to Reitsma, a middle reliever with less-than-overpowering stuff, and he did a nice job for a while before faltering of late. So who gets the saves in Atlanta down the stretch? The most obvious choice to replace Reitsma is Kyle Farnsworth, who certainly has closer stuff. He has never held the job for any significant period of time, however, but the Braves have shown a willingness to try inexperienced closers like Kerry Ligtenberg, John Rocker, Smoltz, and Reitsma in the past under Cox.

Farnsy didn't show anything in Chicago that would make me want him as my closer.

Which is precisely why he will probably dominate as one for the Braves.

Man, its a shame that Reitsma is really not doing it like he should right now. None of us would have expected Kolb and Reitsma to have any problems this season. I really don't think Fransworth should be the answer either, but he would be good for committee.

Lets see whom Bobby chooses to close in the next save situation.
