Goddamn it, I was so frustrated with this loss. Props to Jesus for homering again.

And Eckstein hit it too! I'd understand if Rolen or Pujols did...but it was ECKSTEIN!

Jorge Sosa pitched seven scoreless innings today against the Cardinals.
It was the first time he had worked more than six innings as a starter. Sosa has been terrific, but he's still going to lose his rotation spot after Mike Hampton and John Thomson return

Chris Reitsma blew a save after giving up a game-winning grand slam against the Cardinals today.
Since the start of July, Reitsma was 9-for-9 in save opportunities and had a 1.04 ERA in 17 1/3 IP. He doesn't have much to worry about right now. Kyle Farnsworth also gave up a run today while setting Reitsma up.

Jeff Francoeur had a solo homer and an RBI double today against the Cardinals.
Francoeur and Kelly Johnson homered to account for both runs off Chris Carpenter. The double came in the ninth off Jason Isringhausen. Francoeur has eight home runs and eight doubles in 22 games for the Braves

Sosa should not lose his starter spot, IMO. He's earned it.
As well as he has pitched, he could do Atlanta more good in the pen since it has been so weak many times this year. But that's after the vets come back healthy and shake off any rust.
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

He probably will do more good in the pen. Which is why I support this move.
