Player Smoltz willing to go elsewhere..

John Smoltz would be willing to pitch somewhere other than Atlanta if his recovery from shoulder surgery is a success and a return to the Braves doesn't work out, according to Atlanta Magazine.

That possibility came up as Smoltz was asked how his rehab was going, according to the magazine.

He's earned the right to to pitch for someone else obviously, but I would not like it at all. The idea that Hank Steinbrenner might gasm all over the place to sign him would give me nightmares. Back to Detroit? Egghhhh.

Another ex-Brave could come to the Mets? Probably not, seeing as he saw how NY treated Tom Glavine in his first few years

Smoltz should stay with the Braves until he retires. I just can't see Smoltz in another uniform.
