Ramirez Leaves Game With Injury

I was watching the game, but after the 5th run allowed, I turned the TV off. Turns out I missed a classic:

Horacio Ramirez left Sunday's game in the second inning after being hit in the forehead by a line drive off the bat of Lance Berkman.
His day was about over anyway. Ramirez gave up seven runs -- six earned -- in 1 2/3 innings before being removed. He was able to walk off under his own power, so he's probably day-to-day

That had to hurt but at least he got up and he will be okay.

HOUSTON (AP) -- Atlanta Braves pitcher Horacio Ramirez left Sunday's game against the Houston Astros after being hit on the forehead with a ball hit by Lance Berkman in the second inning.

Berkman's hit crashed off of the left side of Ramirez' forehead and then flew to shallow right field. Ramirez fell flat on his back and then rolled over to his stomach where he remained motionless for a few seconds before moving.

He got up on his own power and was escorted to the bullpen as a trainer pressed a towel to his forehead.

He was replaced by Oscar Villarreal.

The Braves can take solace in the fact that this injury is not related to Ramirez's arm, shoulder, or hamstring, but regardless, its an injury, and will keep him out for awhile. Lets hope there isn't a concussion, or a serious contusion.
