    I voted they just need to malke the playoffs. Making the playoffs will make this team more known. Then we can talk about them wining the World Serries.

    hmmm we will have to see about that though hopefully the NL West will be a ALOT better then before anyway back to the topic. Now that I think about it I wish I could change my vote to 'lets get over .500"

    They have a great minor league system....but nothing's a definite. The Padres minor league system was ranked #4 a mere three years ago and now we only have Jake Peavy, Brian Giles, and Khalil Greene to show for it. (not a bad bunch...but it's not the plethera of star talent one would first assume would come from a highly ranked minor league system. And to answer the question about Giles, we traded Oliver Perez for him)
