Vargas happy to be fifth starter

TUCSON, Ariz. -- On the day he was officially told he had the No. 5 spot in the rotation, Claudio Vargas turned in his best performance of the spring, allowing one run on two hits over six innings vs. the White Sox on Tuesday.

Vargas used to be in the Nationals rotation and was a pretty decent spect for them. They let him go in the offseason cause of the many SPs they have right now. I think he has a 2-seam, curve, slider, change-up but im not sure if thats right. Maybe Wilton has more on the guy.

I've heard of him, but I didn't know much about him as far as how well he's expected to do and such.
