by the way... one major thing i did take out of this card, is how AWESOME the overseas broadcasting crew is. dan hardy is tremendous, and i dont know the other guys name, but hes real solid too. theyre both enjoyable to listen to, as opposed to anik, florian, stann and lots of times goldberg and rogan.

the other guy is john gooden. unfortunately no relation to doc because... well, hes white and british.

too tired last night to watch the final two fights. i dvr'd it, and im watching them now. i avoided results too, so this is fresh judging. naturally the larkin-ponzinnibbio fight was the best of the night, and wouldve woke me up had i been able to last through one more fight.

10-9 romero in the first, more active, neither guy did anything spectacular.

10-9 machida, 19-19. razor thin round man, romero was landing bigger, even wobbled machida at one point, but machida drastically outstruck by my count. machidas strikes were mostly body and leg kicks, but they landed. i could see that one going either way.

woooooooooow. romero is a fuckin beast. machida was out instantly with those elbows. since theyre already committed to weidman/rockhold... romero vs jacare has gotta be the next eliminator. it was a fight that was already scheduled at one point... and theyre the top two guys in the division after rockhold. lets do it.

that mir knockout was so crazy and awesome. after watching holly holm and tony ferguson dominate with precision and technique, watching two heavyweights slug it out was hilarious and a fun way to end the card.

i always like to watch 5 round split decisions, just to have my own score recorded. the 3 guys on sherdog had it 49-46 bisping, so i thought it was gonna be a blowout... but this was actually a real close fight. i had it 48-47 bisping, rounds 1 and 5 being real close, but to bisping, as well as round 2... leites getting 3 and 4. the judges had some intriguing scores... none giving round 4 to leites, but one giving round 2 to leites, which i thought was the easiest round of the fight to score. great fight though, neither guy should be dropped in the rankings.

last i heard, he was supposed to have his fight announced soon, presumably for an end of the year-early next year debut. im sure the internet will explode once his opponent/date is announced, but nothing is even close to concrete yet.
