Anyway, not done with the Joe match so I don't know the finish but just talking about the matches this episode was kinda droll.
All squash matches. The only match that featured two opponents normally on the show not already in the ring was Tyler Breeze vs Bull Dempsy. The closest one besides that was Emma vs Blue Pants.

it was definitely used as an episode to progress things. get further along in joe/owens, start the breeze face turn, taking dempsey off screen to get him in better shape and to introduce that magnificent mojo/ryder tag team. next week should be worth it with joe/owens by itself though.
Becky Lynch -vs- "Jessie" was my top match.
i love that the nxt crowd knows enzo's pre-match speech word for word. and you cant teach that. actually, you probably can.

joes theme music is fucking brutal. owens and balors music hits, and you know some ass is about to kicked... joes hits, and the crowd literally goes dead, even though ass is also about to get kicked.
so... joes gotta cost owens the belt on july 4th. move forward with finn as the top guy on nxt, owens gets the full time promotion to raw... and maybe joe quickly follows to continue the feud up there?
That's not a bad way to move forward. Though I think it leaves NXT a little short on top of the bill talent at the moment. But that does leave room for the all ladies Takover to be next...
