According to that script for last Monday's raw Sandow's script simply read "Sandow disparages crowd and WWE" or something to that extent. Assuming that was a legit script he basically ad-libed his entire promo that led to the predictable knockout punch from Show.

They just need to let him work the gimmick instead of burying him.

I think the Broadus Clay idea works. Albert does too, although he is doing NXT. I think Justin Gabriel would fit, although again, would have to have Cesaro exception (non-American). Maybe a Seth Rollins after The Shield? Ryback and/or Axel? Tyson Kidd, although non-American. Zack Ryder would have to be re-packaged and it would feel weird.

All of this is IMO only as a fan. Of that list I don't think Zeb does much for them. Rybaxel are what they are because of WWE booking, it would take a miracle to get either going again IMO. Tyson Kidd's part of the Total Divas show, if they are going to use him its going to be a face on his own where TD can get the exposure.
If they did the Shield split at Mania then yes I could agree that Rollins would fit the billl, but with the way they've changed plans with Shield I think all 3 members are going to be much stronger before they split and won't need it.

I've never understood the Zach Ryder hype.

I mean, I don't think he sucks or anything, but fans talk like he's one of the greatest of all time held back by booking when I don't see anything special with him...and his gimmick sucks.

I've always gotten the impression the fans started hyping Ryder mainly for satirical purposes in response to a shitty product. In a sense saying "let's hype this random jobber because your main event storylines suck", but somewhere along the way it shifted from that to "we actually like this guy and want you to push him" which has confounded me becuase he's not all that great as a wrestler or personality and his gimmick is ridiculously stupid. I mean "woo woo woo"? That's pretty lame if you ask me. (I know the gimmick isn't everything, which is why I differentiated everything, but that's part of it)

He reminds me of Brutus Beefcake. A guy who was never a huge mega star but made lots of money in WWE with the gimmick.

You also have to remember what a lot of the internet guys see... Twitter+Youtube popularity= Over with fans. If WWE was going to do anything with him it was going to be at the peak of his youtube popularity. But they did nothing with it so it came and went.

They did something with it, they sold (and continue to sell) a lot of "broski" merchandise.

They don't have to do much more with it because his popularity is making them money as is.
