    Re: Official WWE Thread

Oh yeah, I forgot they're trying to push Orton so he's a definite candidate as well.

Speaking of Orton, I really hate face-Orton.

A character of his nature shouldn't be relegated to being a face because it holds him back by not allowing him to take the heel-like actions and relegating him to the bland, over-used, repetitive response of just doing his finisher to everyone all the time in non-match situations.

It also leads to lame situations where he teams with John Cena against common enemies despite the (storyline) history between the two. Orton tried to take out John Cena's father, I find it hard to believe the character would just let that slide because they're both feuding with other people at the moment.

If he weren't injured Orton would probably team with HHH as well, giving the cliche "I don't like him but I respect him" blah blah blah response if interviewed about it pre-match.

The good thing, though, is that even as a face he doesn't pander to the crowd making a future heel turn easy to pull off should he go back where he belongs.

Thats why I was surprised a bit by a clean finish. I figured theyd write it out someway that it get down to Cena then either
    A) Miz screwed Cena for picking Danielson
    B) All heck breaking loose as the PPV ends and thus having no resolution on the match

They left Daniel Bryan out too long, had they had him come back sooner might have been more of a titlewave of pop. Didnt WWE "announce" he was back before the match and kill a lot of the anticipation on who #7 was?

I was certain Miz was going to cash in the MITB, then screw team WWE and reveal himself as the real brain behind the Nexus.

Prediction: Cena pins Jericho or Edge after the FU (leaving Sheamus to say Cena's never "beat him"). Miz cashes in about 3 moves later new champ again. Rehashing Cena vs Miz for another month when Miz pins Cena at the next ppv to "legitimize" his reign. Sheamus probably gets taken out during the match by a returning HHH.

Barrett's not ready for main event belts. Theyll probably put him in a couple spots with Cena but he'll probably largely be a time extender (Focal point in the ring for short spirts to let the others get 2nd breaths). Nexus lost the 2nd biggest cog when Sheffield went down with the ankle injury trying to carry Otunga's worthless arse in tag matches. WWE needs to act soon or the whole NXT thing will be for nothing.

Those guys don't need the belt, but they are almost always around it.
I give Undertaker, 1, 2 years tops. He's already showing signs of slowing down, and he works half a year on tv, and I don't think works many, if any house shows. HHH as well is showing signs of his age, and I don't expect him to be around much as well. You'll see him start taking a lot of time off, and have his schedule mear 'takers.

Del Rio is legit, we all agree on that. Good, good.

I'm a huge fan of anyone that beats the snot out of and takes it to Rey "the jumping Mexican bean" Mysterio. Booyaka Booyaka 619? What the **** does that even mean? I know 619 is referring to San Diego, but what? He needs to have that knee surgery and go away while putting Del Rio over.

I like how the crowd is practically asleep any time Cody Rhodes is on the mic.

This "Dashing" angle is a snooze fest.

I like how the commentary team always tries to spin things.

"Only a limited number of theaters have the privilege of showing Legendary!" - Jerry Lawler

Yeah right, King. Like the WWE wouldn't get the movie in as many theaters as they can if they were able to.

4 years ago I never thought I'd find myself saying this but the Miz is one of the bright spots of the WWE.

    Re: Official WWE Thread

the miz is hit and miss for me. some nights... like last night... hes really brilliant, and i loved his work with morrison/the dirt sheet, it almost made tag team wrestling relevant in wwe again. but i dont know, it seems like he does the same promo every night, and since mic work is his only saving grace... meh. infact, the great promo he did last night, he did in like december or january, making fun of jbl for killing him on a nightly basis, and what not. but danielson is great, ill bet danielson and miz can put on a real nice show at the ppv. miz is decent enough in the ring, that a worker like danielson could drag him around to likely the best match of the night.

heres the thing i didnt understand so much... since i watched the show completely drunk... are they replacing jericho in the main event, or are they leaving it as 5 guys? and if they are replacing jericho, wouldnt it make sense to give the spot to the guy who actually beat jericho? not that i care much for solo, face morrison, but logical booking would dictate... then again, logical booking is not anything we've seen any time recently.

They didn't really say anything about who (if anyone) is the replacement.

While we're on the subject of things that don't make sense, what's the deal with Darren Young?

I figured the whole reason they had him kicked out was so they can send him back to the minors. If he's still going to be working on Raw what's the point of having him kicked out of Nexus?
